The Board and Train program is called IMMERSION in honor of Steve’s mentor Michael Ellis. Michael Called his School for Dog Trainers “The Immersion Program”.  "Thank you Michael for everything you taught me and impacting my life!” Steve.

If your dog is regularly misbehaving, it can be a significant stressor on your day-to-day life. When it comes to young dogs and puppies, just like with children or babies, the weight of the attached responsibility can sometimes feel like a burden. With K9 Nation Louisiana, you don’t have to carry that burden alone. We offer a state-of-the-art canine training immersion program for dogs four months and older. During this intensive program, your dog will experience the equivalent of six months’ worth of training in just 9 weeks. K9 Nation Louisiana Owner Steve Hill will work directly with your dog, so you can rest assured your fur baby is in the best of hands.

The process will ensure both the dog & the owners will be well trained.

When it comes to the canine training Board & Train program at K9 Nation Louisiana, here’s what you can expect:

  • Rock-Solid Recall: When you call your dog, they will come to you.

  • Sit: This is one of the safest commands to give your dog to keep it from misbehaving.

  • Down: This command will teach your dog to go down when it becomes overly-excited, helping your pet to refrain from jumping up and on people when it hears this command.

  • Stay: Your dog to patiently await your return or your given release from the stay position.

  • Wait for Release: Your dog will look to you to release it to go out a door.

  • Go to Bed: We teach your dog to go to its bed when told and to enjoy being there.

  • Ongoing Support: Once your dog is trained, we will teach you how to manage your dog. Ongoing and consistent handling will produce a lifetime of enjoying a well-trained pooch.

  • Loose Leash Walking: Nothing is worse than your dog dragging you down the street on a walk. We teach you dog to yield to the leash and walk politely alongside of the owner.
