Which Program is Right for You?
The Private sessions are great if you have the time and patience to work with your pup. Some people love the idea and they excel with this option. It is slower than the Board and Train Immersion Program, but not everyone is in a huge hurry.
The Board and Train Immersion Program is a great option if: you are committed to the process and want the highest possible training on you and your pup.
Both options have great value and will help you and your pup live a better life together.
Not everyone will fit the Immersion Program. I don't take a dog and make it a robot. I train the dog and then train the owner. It just works best this way…. In the past I would only train the dog. The dog did great but the owners were not ready to handle the trained dog so the dog regressed. It breaks my heart when this happens.. So!!!! I decided to make it an interactive process. This program will ensure that you and the dog are on the same page and living your best life together.
Rock-Solid Recall: When you call your dog, they will come to you.
Sit: This is one of the safest commands to give your dog to keep it from misbehaving.
Down: This command will teach your dog to go down when it becomes overly-excited, helping your pet to refrain from jumping up and on people when it hears this command.
Stay: Your dog to patiently await your return or your given release from the stay position.
Wait for Release: Your dog will look to you to release it to go out a door.
Go to Bed: We teach your dog to go to its bed when told and to enjoy being there.
Ongoing Support: Once your dog is trained, we will teach you how to manage your dog. Ongoing and consistent handling will produce a lifetime of enjoying a well-trained pooch.
Loose Leash Walking: Nothing is worse than your dog dragging you down the street on a walk. We teach you dog to yield to the leash and walk politely alongside of the owner.
If your dog is regularly misbehaving, it can be a significant stressor on your day-to-day life. When it comes to young dogs and puppies, just like with children or babies, the weight of the attached responsibility can sometimes feel like a burden. With K9 Nation Louisiana, you don’t have to carry that burden alone. We offer a state-of-the-art canine training immersion program for dogs six months and older. During this intensive program, your dog will experience the equivalent of six months’ worth of training in just 4 weeks. K9 Nation Louisiana Owner Steve Hill will work directly with your dog, so you can rest assured your fur baby is in the best of hands.
How Board & Train:
The Immersion Program
The process entails weeks of intense training.
Steve will contact you and send you a private video link. In this video you will begin feeding your dog a certain way, as well as begin the “Marker System" It is very important to watch this video and begin the process one week out from drop off. After watching the video you can contact Steve and ask any questions that may be hanging around.
Drop off & (4 Week Board and Train / Immersion Program). This is where the dog begins intensive training. During this time you will receive daily updates, pictures and videos of the progression of your pup!
Graduation Day/ Workshop: ON this day you will come and learn what your dog now knows! We will walk you through the entire process. This workshop will begin the training process for the human side of the team. The workshop will equip you to keep your pup going in the right direction. Teach you how to hold the dog accountable and how to correct any mistakes the dog may make in the future.
If you want someone who truly loves dogs then K9 Nation La is the place to be, Steve is an excellent trainer and he devotes a lot of time, energy and love into the animal he is training. He has helped me so much working with me and Dallas. They also do grooming and boarding. They groomed my Siberian husky and she was beautiful when they finished. So I highly recommend the facility to meet you and your dog's needs.
